Jesus finished the job
for us. He disarmed the rulers and authorities. But if he did, why
do we have so much trouble?
Jesus celebrated over
the enemy. Notice the enemy isn't other people. The enemy is rulers
and authorities.
If they've been
defeated, then what is God asking us to do? Let's make a positive
difference...

what death is like?
We've been called from
death to life. Our position as Christ's people, which we first
discussed yesterday, is completed in that we've been raised to the
life of Jesus. We've been made alive together with Jesus. And he
forgave all of our violations.

What position are you
in?
Back before I
understood that Jesus saves us by grace alone through faith alone,
I wanted to be the 3rd to last guy to get into heaven. I didn't
want to be too good. I was OK with cutting it close.
My body, the worldly
parts of me thought that being with Christ required work,

Why do we thank first?
Shouldn't we wait until something good happens and then be
thankful?
In 1 Chronicles 16,
they're placing the Ark of the Covenant in it's tent. David begins
by appointing that thanks be given to God.
Why thank first? It
shows that we trust God. We know "God causes all things to work
together...
