Hey, it's Mike Henry with Follower of One. Thanks for joining me again today on the Follower of One podcast. I didn't have a little cute introduction question this morning. We're talking about the abundant love of God, and today I wanna read Ephesians Three 17-19, " and that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. I pray that you being rooted and firmly established in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height, and depth of God's love. And to know Christ's love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." That's from the Christian Standard Bible.

I read different translations to get slightly different perspectives on the passages that we're talking about, and we've been talking about abundance for two days, two episodes. And again, today, I wanna talk about this love of God and how it's so abundant. He begins by praying that we are rooted and firmly established in love. Rooted and grounded in some other translations.

I was reading a commentary called Through the Bible by Jay Vernon McGee, and he talked about how being rooted means that we get our life, we get our nourishment from the love of God, and we're also firmly established as our foundation. We have this life that we get from God and it comes from His love, and it also is the foundation upon which we stand. God's love is so amazing, that it begins our life, it gives us the life, and it also gives us the foundation. We can face the things that we face today, and we get the love from God, and we have this foundation that comes from God. And He simply claims that in just half of a verse here in verse 17, it kind of blows me away.

"I pray that you being rooted and firmly established in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints." Our job is to understand what we can of God's love. We will talk more about this. I want to talk about this again tomorrow, the second half of this passage, but the verse breaks don't line up very well.

When we understand enough about God's love, we are free to start giving it away. That's our job., And that's our challenge for today. I wanna challenge us to remember that this love of God, which we get through faith. Our faith opens this door, we received the riches and the glory and the power of God in verse 16. And we get Christ himself and the holy spirit through faith. Our faith is the action. But then we immediately get to focus on this love of Christ, which is the source of the difference that we make in the world. The love is what we get for nourishment and it's the foundation. And from those two things, we're called to make a difference in the world.

And that's our challenge today as believers and as Marketplace Ministers, I want to encourage you, and myself, I'm always encouraging myself and challenging myself, let's go give away some of the love of God. We have the love coming to us through our roots and through our faith in Him. God's abundant. Love is available to us 24/7. You may not feel that way, but there's someone around you that could use the love of God and you are a distributor of that. Love you are in a position to distribute the love of God into the lives of the people that you meet every day. That's what Marketplace Ministry is. We serve others because we love God and His love goes to. Them and they see Him and are drawn to Him. Our job is to help other people move one notch closer to Jesus. And we do that by giving away His love, not by telling other people what to do. Please join me today and give away some of His love. That's what I need to do. I need to think for a moment today about how I will give away some of that love.

And then if you'd like to be part of a community that consistently reminds us that giving away Christ's love is the job of a daily believer. Then join us at https;//community.Followerofone.org.

Thanks very much.
